Surfs up and so were the flying dogs at Huntington Central Park. A big Doggone thanks to our west regional sponsor Balance® Bar for supporting our event and community. The weather was perfect with just a hint of an off shore breeze through the morning and early afternoon. Pro Teams from around the country were ready to win
the top dog prize putting up impressive numbers for themselves and their clubs. Congratulations to D2ISC members Tom Clements & Taylor Team Balance® Bar
who put on a disc dog clinic by thinking outside the box and using his previous FDDO experiences to his advantage. Tom had built the Obstacle Course in his backyard and
it showed with an amazing 16 point effort scoring on all 6 stations. Second place finishers Chuck Middleton and Donnie representing the DDDC also came ready to compete looking
good in matching out fits wearing their pride for Texas and America. They provided the days most intense moments during the Pro Distance event. Donnie missed the first two tosses leaving the team
with one final do or die toss. Chuck focusing at the line and Donnie ready, a quiet hush came over the crowd. Knowing a miss would put them out of the running to place, Chuck went for it
going as deep as he could, resulting in a 12 point zone 6 catch. Chuck & Donnie were equally as impressive on the OC scoring on 5 of 6 stations for 13 points and they were
one of two teams to hit the 5 point zone on station 6. Benny Wong and his new dog KD ripped it up on the OC scoring on 6 of 6 stations for 13 points and hitting the 5
points zone on station 6. Much improved third place finishers JD Platt & Galaxy got it going with an innovative freeze frame beginning to start their freestyle routine scoring big
with the judges in both rounds. They also scored on 6 of 6 stations on the OC. In the Amateur Division 12 year old Bradly Sattler and his teammate Taffy provided the days most exciting moments by going deep on
every toss scoring in zone 5 and 6 consistently. On the OC they scored on 6 of 6 stations. This kid is going to be a force to reckoned at any competition and the Pro Division of the FDDO in
the very near future. I would like to thank the D2ISC for hosting the event and to all the teams who came to compete and have fun
with their best friends.
